Valhalla: take your shitty frat bar back to pullman

Valhalla Bar and Grill…in Kirkland. This place was really just un-fun last time I went. I am not sure if it because they are trying to import their shitty Pullman Palouse culture to Kirkland or what (the original Valhalla is in Pullman).

I have as much fun as the next guy when it comes to a shit show weekend in Pullman and I like going for the apple cup, but I would never live there. Pullman is like a party house in college, everyone likes to have friends that live at the party house but no one likes to live in that kind of filth themselves. Enough about Pullman.

Valhalla is in a strip mall on Rose Hill and unlike the one in Pullman (next to a Pita Pit) it is next to a Dry Cleaner and a PetCo.

Its about an 8 dollar cab ride up the hill from down town Kirkland. When I went we got like 2 blocks away when we could hear the music blaring. I was thinking wow, it must be crazy tonight! Nope, it turns out the DJ just plays the music really REALLY loud. There were about a dozen people in the place with maybe two dancing.

They had one of those projector screens on the wall with a video feed of the dance floor, what a stupid idea and how vain can people be. Watching yourself dancing is like watching that scene in swingers where Jon Favreau calls the girl 10 times in one night...Its just very awkward. Those two people and these people are like Elaine in Seinfeld, oblivious to their own retardedness.

The music they were playing was so horrible, like stupid 80s pop songs. I never went to one but I can imagine it is probably like a gay club in the Castro District of San Fran during the 90s.

We stuck around for 2 pints and it didn't get any better. You can't even hear the people you are playing pool with. It was a pretty much a waste of 8 dollars, the carbon emissions that it took to get up the hill and the cab drivers time. This bar works great in Pullman, but it sucks in Kirkland.

Time and Place to Go: I wouldn't go for any reason but maybe if you found yourself walking from Pub 85 to down town, were already really drunk and saw the hot chic that you had a crush on in high school go in, maybe. Actually try it if you are underage with a fake, I heard they aren't very strict with IDs. For that matter if you are looking to hook up with an Underage chic, you might want to go there too.

Go to their MySpace Profile (below) when you are sad, you'll probably laugh and it'll cheer you up.

8544 122nd Ave NE Kirkland, WA 98033

They dont have a website but here is their MySpace URL

First off, if you've never lived in pullman, you can't knock it. 2nd, what time did you go..and 3rd what day did you go,..and 4th how old are you geezer? It may not be identical to Pullman's Valhalla,.but for people who like to dance from the soul, the 80's night is a hoot! Esp with a big fun goofy crew of people. Don't come to Valhalla if you are into priss bars.

Valhalla in Pullman isn't next to pita pit, thats mikes. You dont even know what bar you are talking about. Saturday night is always 80's night and in Pullman (and Kirkland) everyone loves it, becuase you can have fun and sing along to great songs from your childhood. Then again I'm guessing you went to BCC and dont know what a real college bar is like :)

I would never live in Pullman it is a shit town with a shit school. Your comment is so oxymoronic I am literally LOLing... And what the fuck is a hoot? If you are implying that is the noise people make when they are having fun you must be partying with a bunch of owls. Fuck Valhalla, it is a terrible bar and is never cool.

PHAHAHA I would hardly call WASSZEU a 'real' college. I bet you eat 5 Pitas on your 'weigh' home from the bar after an 18 pack of Busch light, chased by a stiff rufie-colada. GROSS!

What college did you go to then? You forgot to mention it. Never mind irrelevant. And 18 packs of bush with pitas sound damn good-i'm not sure who wouldn't think that's a good combo for a good night. Just cause you didn't get in doesn't mean you have to hate on it. I understand this is a opinionated summary of what you experienced at Kirkland's Valhalla, but if you weren't a Coug or lived in a place like Pullman you really have no room to judge or any say for that matter.

Hahaha...you are too blind to realize that you went to a shitty school in a shitty town. I apologize that no one has told you that you wasted years of your life there.
